Pop Corny is the latest, greatest wonderful indie iPhone game, and it’s becoming the next craze!
This awesome iOS game reached top places on Games and Free App Top 10 lists around the world. The game was also featured as OpenFeint’s Free Game Of The Day on March 22th! How much better can you get?
Here’s the story:
You’ve got a cute little monster. It’s really, really hungry! You have to feed this cutie popcorn using a very interesting and addictive game mechanic.
The gameplay is simple, but can be really tough! You touch and pull back on your iPhone screen, and point your projectile laser gun towards corn kernels so you can turn them into popcorn. These kernels and popcorn bits swirl around the screen, ending up on the tongue (and into the belly!) of our cute little monster protagonist. You get bonuses and gain time when you hit a couple of kernels at a time! You can also collect coins for more bonuses, shields and power-ups!
But be careful! You shouldn’t let the monstie eat too many unpopped kernels, and you have to feed him enough popcorn before the poor thing blacks out! Every time your monster eats an unpopped kernel, you lose a tiny bit of stamina from the bar at the bottom of the screen. Lose too much stamina, and your monster is toast…
And don’t shoot the popped popcorn again with your projectile! You will make monstie sad:(
Make sure to use the many powerups provided in the game, like shields, bombs, and lightning!
The game gives you hints and tips every so often, so you can get even better at the game.

Here are the most important of the tips given inside the game:
- Shoot the corn seeds from as far as you can, to get more points!
- Do not forget to complete your objectives to upgrade your multiplier
- When you are “on fire” more corn will be thrown at you, so you can feed Mr.Corny faster and level up quickly
- You have to feed a specific amount of popcorn to level up
- The “Popcorn Bag” bonus can help you quickly level up by instantly providing you with a huge amount of popcorn for Mr.Corny to eat
- Doing a combo always drops drachma coins for you
- Use the half speed bonus to do extremely long shots with huge points!
- Half speed laser is harder to aim but gives you double points
- When corn seeds hit Mr.Corny you lose precious time
- Droping a bomb will pop all corn in the screen
- Droping a bomb will destroy already made popcorn but you will not lose time for it
- Buy bombs and shields at the store, or wait for them to drop as bonuses
- The faster you pop the corn the faster more corn will come
- Enable and upgrade the lucky horse shoe bonus to its maximum to increase the number of coins you collect each game
- Unlock the Corn Fields stage for faster and more challenging gameplay
- Lightning requires to stay on fire for 30 seconds to charge
Pop Corny, this free endless eater game was made by a small, independent game development studio. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
